i woke up really late because we got home really late last night. we ate breakfast at "pan de queso". it's one of my favorite places. they sell croquetas caseras, pan de queso, zumos, batidos, coffees. im a huge fan of the zumo de mango, it reminds me of my grandparent's house in mexico. we didn't do much today, we relaxed and had a calm day.
when my family woke up back at home, i facetimed them. we agreed to continue soending sundays together even if it meant from a distance. slowly, things are starting to feel a bit more like reality. i'm not as homesick as i feel like i'd be. calling my family, however, made me sad, because you realize the reason you're having to facetime is because you're far from home. sometimes the distance makes me feel like i'm somehow trapped here, but for the most part i'm okay. i'm happy we got this day to rest.
